Story Synopsis

Three years into his service with Lord Mifune and Usagi has already established himself as a loyal and highly regarded vassal. A personal retainer of Mifune himself, he is often seen in the private sanctum of the Daimyo with the lord's son.

At this time, the land is still in upheaval with the Shogun not yet firmly sat on his throne. Too many eyes lust after that which they do not own, and Lord Mifune falls victim to this; his stronghold invaded by the Neko Ninja clan. He himself is rescued by his loyal retainers Usagi and Gunichi, while not far away, his wife and heir are mercilessly slaughtered. Mifune knows however, the lord who the ninja swear allegiance to, and vows revenge on Lord Hikiji.
