Welcome, Otakus, to the UYD/SDCC '99 Web page! Here you'll find the highlights from the UYD Event at the San Diego Comic Con (Aug. 12-15). The whole con was one big Usagi Yojimbo bash. Stan Sakai celebrated UY's 15th Anniversary with free commemorative posters and balloons. Also on hand were UY trading cards, pins, buttons, and the new Grasscutter collected book! Speaking of Grasscutter, Stan Sakai won an Eisner for Best Serialized Story (UY #13-22: "Grasscutter")!!! RYAAAAAAAAAA!!! This without a doubt shows that UY is definitely still one of the best comics in the industry, hands down. Check out the cool plaque Stan got to take home to add to his growing collection of Eisners...
