How it should look

How the site should look

HTML is a minefield. There are so many companies out there who "just know how to do it right", that almost no web browser agrees with any other web browser how to display some give HTML code.

And I'm not talking about the infamous blink tag! Even things like the height of a div element are different everywhere. Not to mention floats.

So to be able to debug these, I've created this page. It shows how the UYD is supposed to look. If something looks weird for you, check with the pages here.

Checklist

  1. Is the logo in the top left corner? Does the background look distorted?

  2. On the No events so far. page, is the hand of the leaping ninja girl completely visible?

  3. Is the large circle behind the main content cropped?

  4. On the No events so far. page, does the headline fill the whole width of the screen?

  5. In the title, does the blue gradient fill the whole width of the screen even if you drag the browser window really wide?

  6. There is a light blue line separating the link menu and the copyright notice. Does the text cross this line somewhere?

How to report

If you notice something odd, take a screenshot (A 100KB JPEG is sufficient, I don't need to see every pixel) and send it to digulla@hepe.com with the subject "UYD layout problem". I'll try to fix it, then.
