Well, it seems we have lost a judge. :?

Kind of glad now that I threw in that poll.

I've been keeping up with the entries so i already have a pretty good idea. I'll have something to you very soon

OK, Lets do this medal style!

I give Bronze to - Enter the Dragon
Silver - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Gold - It's a wonderful life

If any of these end up being the winner, let me know if you want us to do a write up on why we chose it

Thanks Steve, I'll review and get you my feedback this weekend. Sunday is better, but if you need a response Saturday please let me know.

Steve, they are all wonderful concepts. Below I've listed them with my favorite at the top. I also included a 1-5 star rating, in hopes that it might help you match them to the other judges. I do have some ties among the stars. I included some notes to my top three choices. Let me know if I can provide this in a different way.

Thanks,
Mark

Casablanca
*****
- I love this film and enjoyed the adaption presented.

Goonies
*****
- Goonies is a great adventure tale and I could easily see it in comic book form. I also think the concept of a young Usagi Yojimbo story is fantastic.

Shane
****
- Western themes seem to interplay or translate really well into Japanese stories.

It's a Wonderful Life
****
Enter the Dragon
***
The 5th Element
**
Miller's Crossing
**
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
**

Dojo Poll

It's a Wonderful Life by Randy Clute - 5

Casablanca by go - 3

Enter the Dragon by johnsonk513 - 2

Shane by Fist Full Of Dollars - 2

Miller's Crossing by Maka - 1

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels by Warren - 1

Goonies by Trevis Woods - 1

The 5th Element by Hellspawn361 - 1

Top pick for Paul Montani - It's a wonderful life (followed by Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Top pick for Mark Morse - Casablanca (barely beating out Goonies)
Top pick from the poll - It's a wonderful life (barely beating out Casablanca)

So, I guess we can conclude that the winner is......

It's a wonderful life

Too bad the fine print for the contest states that all entries must be from persons 18 years of age or older to qualify.

Ha, just kidding..... :D

Congratulations Randy!!!

Results from the third and final judge have finally arrived.....

Ambrose Quintanilla IV (by Facebook Message) wrote:Sun 9/18 2:14 pm

Sorry. Totally forgot.

Trevis Woods' Shane adaptation.
It has everything you want to see in an Usagi story.

2nd: Trevis Woods' Goonies
How fun would it be to see all the young versions? Nice.
(Didn't even notice it was the same guy for my top two. Oh Well.)

3nd: Go's Kasaburanka
Something different that would be cool to see Stan do.

I hope I wasn't too late. Very very sorry.

Hey Trevis, you didn't mention that you submitted two story ideas.... :)

All the prizes arrived safe from harm yesterday. It was one of the best days ever! Huge thanks to Steve Hubbel and Stan Sakai for the awesome prizes and opportunity!

Here is a photo of me struggling to show all the prize comics:
