Not all artists with the last name of Sakai are nice people.
Probably not a real story (it reads like something from The Onion), but it's still a hilarious read. (BTW, "*" used to make the article more work-friendly) http://www.soufoaklin.com/tattooartistbehindbars.html Asian Tattoo Artist Inks Revenge Behind Bars Now that Sakai is behind bars for d...

I love the pic of Rob Liefeld that's on that page. To think that he was the toast of the town just ten years ago.

They Understand the real Yojimbo Mifune Toshiro, of course  Actually, a mailing list I subscribe to has been discussing Kurosawa movies and their influence on later films, and someone points out that there is an American detective novel written in the 1920's-30's that has almost exactly the p...

Well, I'm glad that little detail has been settled (again, sorry if I was sounding like a wet blankie). Now, out of curiousity, will the other characters in Usagi's world be shown more in YOUR art style, or would they be more in line with the way NPCs have been done in the TMNT point of view? Also, ...

So stan, is this going to happen soon, like in season 2? Is there a prototype of the usagi figure yet? The four Usagi episodes will be the last four of Season 2. Usagi also makes an appearance in the Christmas show of, I guess, Season 3. We're still working out details of possibly the Turtles going...

Re: saw the film last night
I went with some friends to see The Last Samurai last night, and though it wasn't a prefect film I enjoyed it quite a bit. When I first read about the film I thought it looked overly-westernized and xenophobic. I mean, "Tom Cruise: The Last Samurai?" it sounds ridiculous. The movie actual...

A new Japanese Bunny's Webpage
For those of you who remember Oolong, the bunny who's owner liked to balance cookies and other items on his head & share photos of the feat on the web, might like to know that since Oolong's passing earlier this year, he's now got a new bunny to carry on the tradition of cookie-balancing: World,...

Re: Anyone looking forward to The Last Samurai?
I saw Elf last weekend and they had the Last Samurai trailer...it was awesome. Very Akira Kurosawa-ish. In terms of cinematography...alot of horses! I like the authentic costumes...makes me want to get a samurai suit. Also, last night I saw Matrix and they showed the trailer again! Can't wait!! 8) ...

maybe about the christians in Nagasaki . This one is coming up. Not to dredge up an old thread, but there's also the ainu to talk about if Usagi ever finds himself _way_ up North. To be honest, I can't think of any character to make a recurring appearence right now (well, one character anyway, but ...
