What is Ishii in 'The Withered Field'

The moment that he decides to committ seppuku he looks his most evil but I'm not sure what animal he 's based around.

What do other members think?

'The Withered Field' is the first story in Book 11 Seasons.

'Throne of Blood', 'The Hidden Fortress', 'Yojimbo', 'Sanjuro' all directed by Akira Kurosawa and starring Toshiro Mifune.

There's also "Ran' and "Kagemusha' by Kurosawa.

I'm not so familiar with more modern films because its somewhat limited as to what gets released in the UK.
