Re: Favorite Miyazaki Movies
I would have to watch both versions again to find any edited or deleted scenes between them. I understand that some of his mature themes were probably edited in favor in promoting the film as being more 'kid-friendly' at that time. But what really stands out to me is the change in voice actors and c...

Re: Favorite Miyazaki Movies
Back in the late 80s, HBO aired a dubbed version of Nausicaa titled Warriors of the Wind . I still have it on VHS tape. When the new official DVD version was released awhile ago, I find the differences between the two versions to be interesting. I've seen the majority of his films but the ones that ...

Re: What are you watching?
I've been watching BBC's Merlin show. I'm about halfway through season 3, and I think it's great. Merlin is a fantastic show, loved the twists and tweaks they added to the characters and the lore. The conceit of Merlin covering up his magical powers to Arthur by portraying himself as a bumbling sim...

Re: What are you watching?
A really great SciFi series from the late 70's / early 80's was Blake's Seven which appears to only be available on region 2 DVD through Amazon. Been a reeeeally long time since I have watched any of the episodes, but I do remember always enjoying it when I did watch it. Being a long-time Doctor Wh...

Re: What are you watching?
Right now, I'm about halfway through the most current season of Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. I've watched very little of Supergirl other than the crossover episode with Flash (which was fun). Since CW picked up the show and said they will re-air the entire first season, I'll probably catch...

Re: Series One plus Kiyoko
I acquired my set of Series One awhile back and like you maichan, I need to clear some shelf space or perhaps acquire another furniture piece in order to properly display them. They are amazing but so far, I only have Usagi out for display right now on my limited bookshelf space (although I see you ...

Re: Weekly Trivia challenge Feb.1st-Feb. 7th
Ugh, my numbers weren't adding up so that's why I never submitted an answer. I don't think I was finding all the right pics.
For example, is the 123B variant cover a wraparound? I could only count 7 raptors on the photos that I found of it.
Either way, an engaging trivia question.
