Weekly Trivia March 8 - 13

As most of you probably know, "Usagi" is the japanese word for "rabbit".
Thus, Usagi Miyamoto is named after the japanese word for the animal he is.

Can you find another individual character, in the world of Usagi Yojimbo, whose name is the japanese word for the animal this character is? (If this sentence is not clear enough, I'll ask a native who manages to understand what I mean to rephrase that.)

It must be an individual character. Japanese words used as names referring to groups of people (like "Neko" ninja, for example) do not count.

Send me your answer via PM.
You can make a list of several characters and earn bragging rights, but you only need to find one such character to get qualified in this week's trivia.
I'll randomly pick a winner among the correct answers using a random number generator.

9 correct answers this week!
In the order in which I received messages, here is the list of the persons who answered correctly:

1-Steve Hubbell
2-Mayhem
3-Trevis Woods
4-Usagi-Chan
5-Gaffey
6-JLM
7-Chopalong Slashity
8-Lobster Johnson
9-Maka

Random.org gave me the random number 5, so Gaffey is this week's winner.

The most common answer was of course Kitsune (fox), but here is a list of some other characters who fit the criteria:
Lord Hebi (snake)
Yagi (goat)
Inu kaï (also known as Stray Dog, inu=dog)
Zato-Ino (ino=pig)
General Oyaneko (mentionned in the main section of the forum by Sensei: "Oyaneko" literally means "Old Cat")

In terms of bragging rights, Mayhem found the most characters, with a list of 4.

Now, the next question is up to Gaffey. :)
