Hey Stan!

Hey Stan!

It's G-San, and I am happy to see how the site has made so much progress. I'm sorry i missed you at Pasadena BT Obon(i was there for bon odori on sunday, though), it was a really busy weekend. anyways, as always i have some questions:

1. Will your newest yet-to-come TPB, The Shrouded Moon, feature the Katsuichi Sensei vs. Nakamura Koji saga? I have yet to read any of your comics since the Grasscutter II series, so I am curious.

2. When would be a good time for me to see you in person again? I saw something on the old board about October 19th(the day after my birthday!), but i'm not sure if you'll be there. I would like to get a couple TPBs, and some stuff signed.

3. I have noticed how much Usagi has evolved in the past years, but will he soon reunite with some old friends? I remember reciting a long list of all his old companions, some of which we haven't seen since the beginning of your DarkHorse career. For example, there was Jei and Inazuma, whom everyone thought we'd meet again in GSII, but to our surprise, they were no where to be found. I know that you are currently busy workin on Usagi and Jotaro(or i think?), but i remember a long time ago when Jei actually met Jotaro. the question of will they get to meet again pops up in my mind. Also, i love the ninja turtle callabos, those are the greatest, one of my favorite Usagi adventures. Still, there are plenty of Usagi's old friends that have yet to be seen, or even heard of, again, some of which there'd be hints that they would. I hope something exciting happens during this training.

Anyways(i went on a little long there.) i can't wait as usual, and i want to say thanks for creating the best comic series me and my friends have ever read. when people ask whos my favorite comic character, they expect Wolverine, Spiderman, or Superman, but no, it's Usagi, hahaha, Thanks a lot, your fans can't say that enough, see you soon!

Hi G-san. Yes, I will be at the Pasadena main library on Oct 19 at 2:00 to do a presentation. I'll sign stuff after. The library is on Walnut, a block east of Marengo (a couple of blocks south of the 210 Freeway).

1. The Shrouded Moon will reprint issues 46-52, Usagi's travels with Gen. Duel at Kitanoji will probably be reprinted in 2004.

3. Jei isn't around right now but Inazuma pops up every so often. You'll see her in Shrouded Moon. As for other characters, Chizu returns in #61 and Kitsune in 63. Tentatively Katsuichi will be in 65, Sasuke in 66, Lone Goat & Kid probably in 67 and Tomoe a little later. I had intended to make the Father & Son story arc about 7 issues long (one trade collection in length) but it will probably run twice that.

Usagi+Jotaro meets Lone Goat & Kid seems like it will be one HECK of a story, I definitely look forward to that encounter. And more Tomoe!! yay! :)

Aren't they one and the same person, now? And when did she "pop up" since issue #45?

Can you tell me the titles of the issues after #60?

And maybe DHC could put them on their website, too. As it is now, it's surprisingly hard to find out the title of an issue before I get it (usualy 8 days after DHC publishes it).

Hehe, looks like you beat me to that question. The new Katsuichi vs. Koji looks like one of the most exciting story arcs yet! Won't be able to read it for a while though.

As a new member to the community, but a long-time reader I just want to comment on how nice it is to belong to this group of fans. The mood here on the site and the forum feels quite level-headed and that makes me feel comfortable here. Second it's great fun seeing Mr. Sakai taking time to answer our questions. Makes you feel much more appreciated as a fan, ne :D

Thanks Stan, for making the best comic ever!
