Am I the only one?
Ame I the only one who doesn't want to see Usagi with Tomoe? I really would rather see him end up wtih Chizu. I know everyone loves Tomoe, and she's great. But Usagi is such a wanderer. I think he could never be satisfied in service to another lord. Chizu, on the other hand, would be a perfect addition to Usagi's wandering life. Besides, there's something really sexy about an outlaw ninja, neh?

It's a tough choice. The beautiful, skillful, and honorable lady samurai Tomoe Ame or the beautiful, skillful, and resourceful lady ninja.
I've always felt that Usagi was protective of Tomoe, while Chizu was always protective of Usagi, as if that has any bearings on their relationships.
Personally, I like the idea of Usagi and Chizu, mainly because Tomoe would have to give up or lose her position with the Geishu Clan in order to accompany Usagi on his pilgramage, whereas Chizu has already been forced into a life on the road, running from a death sentence imposed by her former neko ninja associates.
Abayo....

wihout getting TOO indepth (too late)
i know i've given this WAAAY too much thought, but that's exactly why i like the idea of usagi and chizu...they are both so free and independent that it seems like they would understand each other's life perfectly.
i think that steve has great insight into usagi protecting tomoe and chizu protecting usagi. i wonder if that says something about our desires that we want to see usagi with one over the other?

Understand, yes, but bear in mind that their relationship was more than, hmmm..... occasional, so I think that they don't really know each other, they may be fascinated with the other person, they probably could understand some of their actions... but would it be a complete understanding? I think that they could eventually have a short romance, but nothing more. A bit tragic, neh?

perhaps he won't find love with Tomoe nor Chizu. Personnaly i really prefer Chizu, it would be a relation of love and misunderstanding, wandering together and sometimes needing to be alone...
but in fact, i don't think that is really love: passion with Chizu, friendship with Tomoe.
Have you ever seen "Ame agaru", we see the life of a perfect ronin, a wanderer, his wife goes along with him, a true lady. He is too strong to find a master, because there is always jealousy... i think to Usagi when i watch this movie (the last of Akira Kurosawa, he died when he just started to film)
it could be interesting that Usagi find love with a lady like the one he saved from the fake monk who was a tanuki.

Well at the very least, Usagi should go out on a date or something. Yes, I know that sounds like Beverly Hills 90210 rather than Usagi, but still, he should try his hand at love instead of going around killing people all the time.
Of course I'd love to see Chizu and Usagi at least try to make a go of it. Better to have love and lost...

A date? How should it be organized, how would the whole situation look like? I don't think it's possible.
I'm not so sure about it. If someone was never in love, then that person doesn't know what she/ he is missing; but if someone was in love, and lost, then it hurts, a lot.estee wrote:(...)Better to have love and lost...
