Kitanamono (Grasscutter I)

Post by Murata »

Hi All,

I just finished reading the first Grasscutter story (which I recently acquired). Loved it. I really adds another dimension to UY. Fascinating stuff. I am overwhelmed...

Mr. Sakai, you sir, rule!!

Besides the story, art, background, one more thing knocked me out: Kitanamono. Loved all about him. Best villain ever IMHO.

As a UY character, I think he even stands before Zato-Ino and Shingen as my favourite.

Any idead of what animal he is? Normal critter or supernatural?

Just had to say this...

Abayo.

Although he's a fierce and quick enemy, I don't see Kitanamono as a supernatural creature. He may be primitive, unrefined and rough, but I don't think it makes him a demon, as Jei can be.

Kitanamono is just a semi-feral brute, but the connection he has with Ryoko is supernatural. She's a witch, after all. They may share something else, apart from this evil link...

Oh, by the way : kitanai in Japanese means "dirty", filthy". Kitanamono (perhaps 汚物) reads "the dirty one", an adequate name after all ! :)

Well to his credit

He was doing fairly well against Jei when he fought him, but what a way to die.
