I picked up the first issue of the Wolverine:Netsuki mini-series after reading your comments on it a bit back... Thought it was pretty cool, even though I have never been a follower of Wolverine, X-men or other super-hero comics... The fully painted art-work is great, and has convinced me to purchase the rest of the mini-series as it is released... Thanks for the recommendation. BY the way, Wolverine:Netsuki was a lot better that the Witchblade:Obakasuki ? (brain fart, forgot what the word is, something like that in Japanese!!!) ? anyways, the Wolverine story is a LOT better...
On a differant note, Stan recommended a book some time back titled "The Ghost of the Tokaido Inn"... Just a quick note to mention that a sequel has been released titled "The Demon in the Tea House" by the same authors.
I miss the abundant amount of postings that the old message board had and which this new board has been lacking in... Where are all those Dojo-members who use to post messages regularly on the old board?

I must admit that I never felt that the DojoBoard had a lot of traffic but it is low ATM... My guess is that most people believe that one has to register to be able to post.Steve Hubbell wrote:I miss the abundant amount of postings that the old message board had and which this new board has been lacking in... This is not true Just like the old board, anyone can post.
Other than that, I don't know. Maybe I should post a message via the mailing list, too?

Wolverine Netsuke/ETC
I tried to pick up the first issue, but the place I get my comics from didn't order enough. My pal, who usually picks up my comics for me, has issue 2 ready for me to grab. Since I usually don't make it to any comic shops more than once every couple months, I tend to miss new titles, especially miniseries, I'd otherwise give a chance. I've been hearing some of the Cross-Gen titles are rather good reads. Anybody here been reading those and have an opinion they could share?
Right now, after Usagi Yojimbo, my favorite titles are Amazing Spider-Man (Stracczynski has me a fan again after giving up on that title ten years ago), Promethea, and League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Hard to go wrong with anything written by Alan Moore. If Astro City and Top Ten were still coming out, they would round out my top 5. I am not sure if those two titles are totally dead or not. I missed the last issue of Astro City because it came out as a surprise some months after the previous issue and promptly sold out.
Hang Loose,
Dave

Unfortunately, Alan has announced that he will be leaving mainstream comics in the next 15 months to two years, which means the ABC line will either be given to other writers or cancelled altogether. Alan will concentrate more on his personal and mature projects such as From Hell. He'll also write some prose and music as well as take a little time off for himself.Wily Pueo wrote: Hard to go wrong with anything written by Alan Moore.

Which again proves that one no only can make a living from comics but also holidays, too!Stan Sakai wrote:[...]as well as take a little time off for himself.
