My thanks to Sakai-sensei.
Dear Stan: I first discovered "Usagi Yojimbo" in college when a friend showed me an issue of "Critters" with a Usagi story in it. I was hooked! I continued to buy Critters and was very pleasantly surprised when the rabbit ronin got his own title. I have been hooked ever since. I may have strayed away from time to time, but, I always came back. Usagi Yojimbo is (and always will be) my FAVORITE comic. It is a "world" that I enjoy getting lost in. And it has gotten me interested in Samurai Cinema. I now own; 1.) All six "Lone Wolf & Cub films, 2.) "Sword of Doom",3.) Samurai Assassin", 4.) "Yojimbo", 5.) "Sanjuro", 6.) "Tenchu", 7.) "The Seven Samurai", 8.) "Band of Assassins", 8.) Several "Zatoichi" films, 9.) "Shogun Assassin" and several "Anime" films about samurai and ninjas. I also enjoy drawing Usagi and his gang ,along with several characters of my own. I suffer from Manic depression and am prone to panic attacks and I will most likely be on medications for the rest of my life. Usagi has always been great "therapy "for me. It has gotten me through some dark times in my life. When I am drawing...all of my troubles and worries fade away, for I am locked in that moment of creation. It soothes my troubled brow and I experience a little taste of joy in my lonely life. So, I say THANK YOU once again Sakai-sensei! You and your wonderful creations have saved my sanity! And I am most greatful. Domo Arigato gozimas!!!

Robert,
My fathr suffers from panic attacks. I inherited some of his anxiety disorder, and his love for all things Japanese. Sometimes it's just nice to know you're not alone.
