What is motor city?

Motor city is a euphemism for Detroit. It came about because historically a lot of cars were made there. There is a comics convention near Detroit called the Motor City Comics Convention ... MCCC or Motor City to us comic nerds. There has been a lot of chatter on this forum about it. See the links provided:
