How old is Usagi in the Usagi yojimbo universe?

Only Stan Sakai knows.

Make a guess.

I say 20 or so, but i have not looked in all the books yet to find out.

Abayo.

Mr. Sakai says that right now, Usagi is in his late 20's. Maybe 27 or 28.

Earlier than that. He won his swords when he was 16 I believe, joined Mifune's service at 17 and was a ronin by 21. So my reckoning is about 28 or 29 currently.

I wonder how close to that figure one would get if ya went through all the stories and counted the seasons that were depicted over the years. Would the number of published adventures exceed the amount of years allotted for them?

It wouldn't disappoint me if they did--may all good artists have the "problem" of staying in print for decades. :)
