Usagi Yojimbo Book 22: Tomoe's Story s/n hardcover

Post by Steve Hubbell »

Is there any word on when this book will finally become available and why it has been delayed?

Diamond Comics have not listed a shipping date for it yet, Amazon has moved their estimated shipping date back to September 2nd, and the Dark Horse web-site lists it as "unavailable" through Things From Another World....

I don't know. I got my copy :-) They also had a bunch of cool UY Book 22 posters at the DHC booth. I grabbed a short stack of those too. I think they were 11x17s.

You bought one of the copies that Stan had available at San Diego?

Any chance you can spare one of the posters?

I'll have to look at the hardcover, it may actually be an AP copy. But yes I did get it from Stan. Gotta really cool Usagi/Tomoe sketch in it too.

Anything for you Steve. PM me your current mailing address and I'll shoot you one. The only thing is I forgot to get Stan to sign them.

I think Stan had set aside some of the APs for us forumites who asked; my copy is an AP too. This year I remembered to ask on the DH stand for Usagi promos and got the poster too.

I preordered my copy from TFAW back in February, and it's on its way right now (UPS is supposed to deliver it by Monday).

Heritage Source has some HCs at the Obon signing a couple weeks ago. I just heard from Carolyn today saying that she got three copies left.

FYI - My local comicbook story didn't have a copy of the hardcover in my pull as of 8/7/08. So I don't know if they just forgot to order one for me or they haven't received it yet.

Peace, maka

There is a copy on eBay:

I get my copies about the same time bookstores get theirs, so I'm surprised if it is not out yet.

Diamond Comics Distributors finally listed them as shipping on August 6th, which is when my local comic shop got them in. I have #201 / 300.

Dark Horse's web-site and Things From Another World now list them as in stock and available.

Apparently, Amazon.com is already out of stock or never received any (I decided to cancel my order through them).

And Carolyn at Heritage Source might still have a copy or three left.

If looking to buy that posted item should ask before if it is signed and numbered - seller does not state that it is and some might act too quickly.

Dear Readers,
Does anyone know why Diamond has not shipped the book?
My local friendly comic book store called Diamond and got a "We don't know".
Something like this happened years ago when the books were misplaced in a warehouse.
Any clues will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for the fun!
Best wishes,
go
