The Tomoe Ame page looks great. I tried to search for it with just "Tomoe" but it doesn't bring up anything. Anyone know how we can fix this?

We should probably come up with some kind of template for the pages for individual stories and story arcs and so on. I'm not really sure how we should do those pages, so I think I'll leave that alone for now (the Groopedia would probably be a pretty good model to follow).

So far, I've mainly been doing character pages, but I've also made a couple of other pages.

I've also done some redirect pages for some character pages. If a character has a first and last name, it would probably be a good idea to do one. For example, for the page "Miyamoto Usagi," I made a redirect page entitled "Usagi" with this text:

#REDIRECT [[Miyamoto Usagi]]

This allows you to bring up the page for Miyamoto Usagi by simply typing "Usagi."
"It doesn't matter whom you are paired against;
your opponent is always yourself."

Thanks for posting the pages, Jet...they look great!

Is there any way we could link the pages somehow from the main page at wiki.usagiyojimbo.com? It seems so empty....

I added links on the first page and uploaded the logo of the Dojo.

to change a page : edit
To add internal links [[nameofthepage]] eg : [[stan_sakai]]
_ equal space so we can have [[Stan Sakai]]

Too add an uploadded image [[Image:nameoftheimage.extension‎]] eg [[Image:UYDFlogo.gif‎]]

External links
[URL what you read] eg
[http://usagiyojimbo.com/forum/index.php UY DojoBoard]

Concerning the pages :
Sasuké, the demon queller, is an anthropomorphic fox in the comic book Usagi Yojimbo.
Since the wiki is about Usagi, the introduction should be :
Sasuké, the demon queller, is a fox
(else we will read everywhere in the comic book Usagi Yojimbo)

Whenever a page says "X is a character in the comic book series Usagi Yojimbo," that's probably where I copied and pasted some text from Wikipedia.

your opponent is always yourself."

I think we should all get a plan of action and then assign a few specific tasks. Judging by what we've done thus far, I figure we're starting with characters?

You are right, i don't like "open wiki" and we should take the best ot the contributors, members of the dojo. It would be great that people work by team, because i am not sure we are able to re-read all articles.

I wonder if we could do a flagging system. Everyone working on the wiki (all three, four of us :p) gets a set of tasks to work on. Since I only have half the books, I'm currently (slowly) working at 'minor characters in books that I own'. However, in any page that needs revision, anyone could flag it. Then, one of us will go and look at it and see what we can do to sort it out. That way, if I've accidentally made a spelling mistake, say, then we can find out and fix it quickly. We'd also know that, say, someone needs to research all of Tomoe Ame's appearances from Grasscutter onwards to add to her page.

I did a little more work on the UY Dojo Wiki (it's something to do while listening to music):

Does anyone have an idea of how to keep the issues of "volumes" referring to trade paperback volumes and "volumes" referring to all of the issues by Fantagraphics/Mirage/Dark Horse from becoming confusing?

Refer to the TPB's (or hardcovers) as Book 1 or Book 19, and use volume as reference to the publisher such as volume 1 #5 or volume 3 #113, etc.
Each of the books also has a specific sub-title which can be utilized.

I thought that I should add a little piece of advice for anyone working on the Wiki, when you click the "save" button, make sure that your edits were actually saved, because sometimes I get a message that says that there was some kind of error and my edits weren't saved. If this happens, click the "save" button again.

Problem with images in UY Wiki

Post by Kenshiroh »

The images that have been uploaded to the Wiki are not working.
A list of all of the UY Wiki's images can be found here. There are images listed that users have uploaded, but if you click a link to one of those image files you get the following message (with the path differing depending on which image link you clicked on):
Not Found

The requested URL /images/wiki.usagiyojimbo.com/1/1f/Albedo_2_cover.jpg was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Right, we can see that the images disappeared from the main page...

Todd, was there any move of the wiki folder that could explain this ?

Nothing has been changed on my end. I did notice it myself. I'll check it out later on tonight...
