Come on, can't we be free of people spamming boards with junk that no one will buy. I hope no one clicks on those to give them any views.

We try and clean them out as fast as we can.

Unfortunately, we have not found a way of keeping them from registering, short of having every new member registration approved before access to the forum is granted.

We have been able to limit them to being able to only post a single message after registering, after which they are banned from the forum within a day.

Yeah... can't really add much more to what Steve said. We have been able to limit the damage, but to keep them fully out would mean to vet every single new registration personally. A couple of places I'm on actually do that, but the number of joinees to those places is a lot less than here.

Thanks for all the hard work taking care of it. It was just so annoying to run into that junk on the dojoboard. The unexpectedness and the crassness of the peddlers just irritated me. Thanks for being diligent with it. I probably miss 3/4 of the stuff that does get on the board.
