To add to the person asking about Chicago, it would be great if you could think about C2E2 in the future Stan, as then I don't have to worry about trying to get to San Diego in order to meet both you and David :D

Unfortunately trying to get to SDCC is now almost more effort than it's worth... but I will be attempting it for 2013...

Since you'll be attending Baltimore Comic Con in 2013 does that rule out HeoresCon in Charlotte, NC?

Yes. I already sent out my regrets to the HeroesCon staff. I will be in Europe at the time. This is two years in a row I had to decline their invitations. Perhaps 2014?

Maybe it's a bit early to ask, but where and when are you going to be in Europe? If it fitted with my schedule, I'd love to be one of the fans you'll meet.....
Greetings from overseas

Unfortunately, we are not going to Germany. We are still planning this, but most of our free time will be in Spain. Barcelona, actually, where my Spanish publisher is based.

Stan Sakai wrote:Emerald City is a great convention, and I have been to a few of them going back to when they were a one, then two day shows. Unfortunately, I have not been invited in the last couple of years. I don't think I would be able to make it in 2013, anyway. Maybe 2014?

I am scheduled to be in Seattle in July, though, but not for a comics-related event. I will be doing a presentation at a Japanese-American national conference there.
The student à la carte rate for the conference is actually not bad. I might just show up to that. :)

Stan,

Any chance you will be doing any appearances in Tokyo in the future?

Or near Tokyo. I'll travel :-)

I wish, but no. The last time I was in Tokyo was in December, 2009. I would love to go back.

Not this year. The closest I will be to NY is Boston in May.

Okay I'll try to take a bus down there to meet you. Thanks for the heads up. Will you be doing commissions?

I may be able to do a commission beforehand, but certainly not there. It would depend upon my schedule, which I won't know until closer to the museum signing in May.

I don't suppose you have any UK dates coming up you can let us know about? I'm a relative newcomer to Usagi (roughly 6 months), but im happy to say your work has become an addiction and would love to meet you in person!

Cheers
