Another Serious Case of Usagi Withdrawal!
Stan, many of us can't take it anymore. Really enjoying 47 Ronin but as you recently acknowledged during an interview with Dark Horse, this work is taking longer than normal. We've had 3 of 5 solid issues of the story but I'm betting the 5th issue has not been completed yet and your next 5-part Usagi story that you had mentioned starting off with probably hasn't been drawn yet so are we looking at another year before we see a new Usagi comic on the stands? Don't you have any behind the scenes Usagi stories or other rare gems that Dark Horse can publish in the interim? I've bought several of your sketchbooks and things like that or "abandoned" Usagi stories would be a nice way to tide us over. I had no idea when my son Jeremy (whom you met at the Japanese American Museum in 2011) entered the contest "Why is Usagi killing me?" and was the runner-up that the last thing of an Usagi comic I would see for the next 12 months was his photograph on the back cover of Part 2 of Shoyu. I always tease Jeremy that Usagi may be killing him but he "ended" Usagi (for the time being). Please help us. Mouse Guard is really good and so are Mind Mgmt, Hellboy in Hell, BPRD, Conan the Barbarian, Saga, Fatale, Nowhere Men, Elephantmen, Prophet, Manhattan Projects, Walking Dead, Wonder Woman, Batman, Fables, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Journey into Mystery, Thor God of Thunder, Locke & Key, The Hollows, and Fashion Beast - but NOTHING can compare to the adventures of our rabbit samurai!
