Space Usagi!
Who here has read Space Usagi? I hope to get it soon, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks of it. Is every Space Usagi story in the trade paperback collection? It looks like a very cool series, and I cannot wait to read it someday.

Re: Space Usagi!
I read the tpb version and LOVED it! Thought is was perfect! My kiddos read it as well and they were split. While they all liked it, half of them much more prefer the older Japanese settings but the other half really liked it.
Either way, it is a win and excellent stuff!
I believe the tpb has all the issues/story in it but I cannot swear to that.

Re: Space Usagi!
All the Space Usagi stories are in the collection.
I read them when they came out and enjoyed them. But it has been years and I haven't re-read them. My daughters have. They were make the connection between Senso and Space Usagi. That was fun.
I love hearing people discover Usagi / Space Usagi for the first time. I remember going to the Hawaiian Public Library and checking out all the trade paperbacks I could get my hands on during a summer vacation visiting my parents. Once I had 4 or 5 UY trades and I read them in one sitting. I had to go back to the library and hope someone had turned in their borrowed copies. Usagi is one of those rare comics that you can re-read and not be bored. I was recently enjoying the Blind Sword Pig (while looking for the answer to a trivia contest here). The perspectives that Stan drew in those panels were so cool. And it just gets better the more you read and know about each character. Have fun.
Peace,

Re: Space Usagi!
Glad to hear Space Usagi is good; that is one of the Usagi Yojimbo titles I have been looking forward to most since I started reading. I think the Space Usagi designs on usagiyojimbo.com are great!
Usagi is a great series for re-reading. I've been re-reading many of the stories in the books I have in anticipation of the arrival of UY Saga book 3 (it just arrived about 5 minutes ago). I love the little details in the stories such as in the one called The Courage of the Plum Tree (I might be a little off on the name, but it was similar to that) where Usagi and his sensei are walking in the snow and his sensei's path is in one line and young Usagi's path is all over the place.

Re: Space Usagi!
I got my copy of Space Usagi awhile back and absolutely LOVED it, probably one of my favorite UY stories ever. I think Stan did an outstanding job adapting Usagi's world to a sci-fi setting while keeping to the usual tones and themes of his work. This is another reason (of many) why I think the ending to Senso was so great too.
