I sent an e-mail to Mirage Studios to inquire about whether Usagi is playable or not. Their first impression is that he is not, but Peter took the only advance copy they received.

I'll post their reply once I hear back from them.

Hmm....I see. Why wouldn't he be playable, though?

I just received a reply from Mirage. Usagi is not a playable character in the Battle Nexus game. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

He looked playable in the demo Stan showed at SDCC, really. From the looks of it, the SDCC game plays like a 2-player 3-D Steet Fighter type game (think Tekken). I just checked out a few game sites about TMNT 2: Battle Nexus and I don't think this is the same game as what was shown at the SDCC. The SDCC game was totally different. Battle Nexus looks a lot like the original TMNT arcade game as opposed to a fighter game. Any comments???? In one of the demo's I saw, Don was getting his butt kicked by Usagi, who looked like he was being played by player #2. I wonder what gives??

Stan, is there another TMNT game in the works besides the recent Battle Nexus that Usagi is a part of?

Hmm, if Usagi is not a playable character, then maybe at least there is a way to edit the game's files, and switch a playable character's model for Usagi.

tOkKa what is those "GEN AND USAGI UNLOCKABLES"? .....is it just artwork and such stuff, or is there anything worth playing hard and long for? ...

Yeah i was thinking of that switch thing to, or maybe one can use those skins for usagi and change em and edit em in to games like "Max Payne (Katana Mod) or something... that would look reallt cool... ;)

but what is that fighting game Todd Shogun??

I don't know, but the game I saw looked like a fighter game or a game with some kind of "duel" mode. I just sw a tape of it and that was back in August so who knows...but it did look like Usagi was playable. Maybe it was an illusion as a result of my overwhelming joy in seeing Usagi in a video game, I have no idea...:-)

Is there a place on the net where the video is available to watch?

GTA San Andreas has been leaked too (it was leaked a week before release in the US). And so was Half Life 2. And so was Doom 3. Big titles always get leaked.
