Usagi Yojimbo Video Game

Hi Sensei Sakai,

First I want to say that you are considered to be the "nice guy" of comics and my correspondence with you in the past has been personable and you have inspired me to want to cartoon and draw comics.

Please make a Usagi Yojimbo video game made in the vein of "The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild"

It would be neat to play as Usagi and relive his adventures in the comics exploring his Japan. All of the adventure and mythos is already there to generate content for a video game.

I know Usagi's adventure is not complete, but at least we could experience his warrior's journey in a new light.

Thank you for allowing us to see Usagi on television interacting with the TMNT.

I would love an open world Usagi video game. Helping people or defeating monsters, bandits, and war lords would be amazing.

There have been 2 Usagi games I know of, the first came out in 88 called Samurai Warrior: The Battles of Usagi Yojimbo the 2nd you can get now for phones and I think Steam called Usagi Yojimbo: Way of the Ronin. Its 1.99 for android phones.

That is true, but they are both side scrolling beat em' up games. An open world that encompasses Usagi's musha shugyō from The Ronin to The Hell Screen and beyond would be so amazing!!! Gen, Ino, Lone Goat and Kid, Tomoe, etc... could be playable characters or part of DLC as well as Space Usagi, Senso, and Yokai. If I had the know-how with Sensei Sakai's permission, I would design the game myself. "The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild" is the perfect template for a Usagi Yojimbo: Video Game. Maybe even call it, "Usagi Yojimbo: Musha Shugyō"

I seek no profit or personal gain from a project like this, but only to give us fans another way to enjoy Usagi in a different medium. What better medium is that than a video game. It could also become available on Steam. Maybe someday.?.

For sure, just making sure you knew I agree a modern open world Usagi game would be epic. Hopefully one day a company will pick it up since the cost of such a thing would be insane. But of all the comics I love Usagi tops them all so of course a true Usagi game would be amazing!

I think in the fashion of Breathe of the Wild is a bit much to ask budget wise. I could see them making a Usagi Yojimbo game like A Link to the Past or maybe in the veins of Shovel Knight.
