Funny Animal Superheroes? (Sorry! Non-Usagi!)

Post by Logan Myrddin »

What about it? Do you think it would work? None of my superheroes wear spandex-- mostly baggy clothes-- so that's definitely a plus. But would it work, or would it just be the biggest flop since... well... since like... I can't think of anything that was a big enough flop. Anyway, if it can be done for serious Samurai comics, can it be done for serious Superhero comics?
(I just love furries for some reason...)

Darkwing Duck worked!
I guess that was mostly supposed to be funny, but I don't know if it matters that much. The real key is approaching the material from a point of view that makes sense and supports whatever you want to say. If you have the right TONE, you could probably make anything work.
Also, just as general advice, I'd say don't worry so much about whether other people will like your work or if you've got a good approach when you start out. The first stuff you do, no matter how hard you try, won't be great. That's a lesson I learned the hard way.
So just make some cartoons! Don't worry about making great cartoons or cartoons anyone else will like, just go for it. That's the only real way you'll get better or learn, and really you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The first thing you write shouldn't be a masterpiece, or you're not from this planet!
Appologies if this advice is long-winded or unnecessary.
