I'd love to see this happen. I really enjoy the idea of an alien invasion story set in 17th century Japan. I enjoyed Space Usagi a lot, so I would love to see Stan go back to doing another sci-fi story.
Such an idea isn't completely unprecedented: I remember that when I was a kid, I played a Game Boy game called "Heiankyo Alien" that involved an alien invasion during the Heian period (794-1185 AD). These weren't the most formidable alien invaders; in the game, you fight them by digging holes and then filling in the holes when the aliens fall into them.

if i would (and could) plan a trip to USA for the 25th anniversary, what would be the best Con to go ?

Comic-con International:San Diego is the big show in the US. However, it can be overwhelming and difficult, especially for someone there for the first time. It also can be very expensive. But if you think you are up for it, that is the one I would recommend.Fanfan wrote: Stan,

A smaller show is Wonder Con in San Francisco. It is organized by the same people who run the Comic-con International: San Diego. It is, I think, in February or March. I hope to be there next year, though I cannot guarantee it.
Any other suggestions?

I was thinking for a long time about SDCC, but since we talked about it the last time you came, i am not sure it is the best place to enjoy. If i would came i would take a few days, it is a long trip after all. On the other hands i always wanted to go to san Francisco too. So we'll see next year, but when i see you prepare a long time in advance for reservation in SDCC i think it will be complicated... and it will depend of the 25th events too !Stan Sakai wrote:Comic-con International:San Diego is the big show in the US.
