Who else discovered Usagi Yojimbo through the TMNT?

Very similar with me Todd. It was a pin-up (the same one I believe - I did a drawing of Usagi from that pin-up and someone identified where it was from http://usagiyojimbo.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7821#27821) that got me checking it out too. Though I didn't really get heavily into it until 2003.

Yeppp I did too. Through the TMNT action figure actually. My father had brought it home (as he knew I was quite the turtle fan) and his character was always visually appealing to me. It wasn't until a year or two ago that I got into the comics but I love them dearly.

Yes, I discovered Usagi through the cartoon. I finally got around to reading it a few years ago. Way way better than the cartoon.

before I was a freshman in high school (89), my family hosted an exchange student from Japan. We were browsing through the local comic shop and he bought a Usagi comic, I was mostly into Spider-man and Captain America. But, after reading that one (I may still have it buried away somewhere), I would always ask for UY. Now, the local shop carries UY just for me!
