I got 84/150 at SDCF. It turned out so cool Steve! Thank you so much for paying publishing this. It is a really great UYD gift to all us fans. I'm going to read mine now.

I think you have Stan's personal copy.
The 5 looks like his S in the tip-in plate signature.
Did you get this from InStockTrades?

Wow.... awesome catch on the low number ...
...although I'm not sure why it's awesome.
My book 6 is no. 221

Yep, I got it from InStockTrades. Funny thing is that right before opening it, the thought popped into my mind that someone somewhere has to get #1. That thought hadn't previously crossed my mind before, so I found it an interesting coincidence when I saw such a low number.Gaffey wrote:I think you have Stan's personal copy. The 5 looks like his S in the tip-in plate signature.

It is strange, isn't it? For some reason low numbers seem "better" than high numbers on limited edition items, despite the fact that they are all equally rare. And it's not like they were even produced or signed in that order, which would give the lower number at least a small amount of significance (Stan's full sketch bonus plate, on the other hand, adds some extra intrinsic value to the particular book that gets it). Instead, the plate just happened to be the fifth one numbered by some random intern making minimum wage as they made their way through the pile of signature plates. But it still feels cool nonetheless.maichan wrote:Wow.... awesome catch on the low number ......although I'm not sure why it's awesome.

Sure makes me glad the UY Dojo Anniversary Special was limited to 150 numbered copies, I don't think I could have handled numbering much more than that since I making even less than a random intern getting minimum pay....jabba359 wrote: It is strange, isn't it? Re: Signed & Numbered Limited Editions.... Who has what?
I'm signing the tip-in plates for UY Book 30: Thieves and Spies HC now. It is an edition of 575 but I have to sign about 750 of these. DH used the template for UY Book 29 instead of the one for the last Saga book, so it says I'm also doing a drawing on each one. That means I'm doing about 750 head sketches as well as the signature.Steve Hubbell wrote:

I wish I could get an intern to do this.

Oh, is the next hardcover (Book 30) got an increased print run compared to the last 10-12 trades then?

Re: Signed & Numbered Limited Editions.... Who has what?
Book 29 had a print run of 900, so compared to this, Book 30 number of copies were decreased. But the earlier HCs were published in an edition of 300-350-400 copies.Mayhem wrote:Oh, is the next hardcover (Book 30) got an increased print run compared to the last 10-12 trades then?
So, I assume DH would like to try a number between these numbers.

Re: Signed & Numbered Limited Editions.... Who has what?
Book 29: 200 Jizo had a HC edition of 900, so Book 30's HC actually has a much smaller print run.Mayhem wrote:Oh, is the next hardcover (Book 30) got an increased print run compared to the last 10-12 trades then?
I finished signing the tip-ins. There were 812. As usual, one of them has a drawing on the reverse side. I only know of one person who has a book with such a drawing. I received it in my stack of comps and sold it to him at a San Diego Con and, yes, he is a Dojo member.

Ah yes, I forgot Jizo had a run of 900, I've been so used to the h/c having 300-350 copies for years...
