What do you have on "your" bookshelves?

I thought about collecting the Star Wars figures, but eventually decided against it. The friend I gave all my comic books to was gifting them to me, but after a while I decided not to keep them and returned them with apologies and thanks. I already have too much clutter in my life and have been trying to cut back on collecting ...

I still think they are cool though, and if I had more space to accommodate all my desires, I'm sure I would still have them.

I really don't buy a lot of collectibles. Occasionally I will get an action figure or Funko Pop (I only have 5 Funko Pops total though; Captain America, Silver Surfer, the Flash, Wolverine, and Master Chief from Halo), but I've found that I usually would enjoy a new comic more than a new action figure. I would definitely buy Usagi collectibles if my local comic shop got them, though.

I agree, mostly. A lot of action figures look cool when you get them but within a week they are forgotten and doomed to stand near the back of your collectibles shelf, gathering dust. I learned that after buying all those Funkos.

With my tax refund money, I bought the entire Series One set of statues from Rokyu Toys. They arrived yesterday and they look GREAT!

Then I realized, I need a display case for them. There's no room left for them all on my bookshelves!

Ha! Aren't they AWESOME?!?!? I so love mine! My wife went out to Ikea and bought a relatively inexpensvie tall glass case for my Rokutoys statues. Works really well!

Usagi, from the bottom of his feet to the top of his ears, measures just under 8.5" tall. The base adds another .75" to the height.

I was rearranging some shelves today, and took a few pictures of my Usagi shelf...
Here's the corner of the room that houses my UY bookshelf. Hellboy action figures on the top, Usagi action figures/art on the first shelf, Usagi books on the second shelf, and Hellboy books along with various other series like Mouse Guard and Stan's non-Usagi work for the bottom shelf.

Here's a closer look at the top shelf. I keep the Art of UY book up there, as it won't fit on the main UY shelf. Notice the cool Sasuke the Demon Queller label, in case I forget what books I keep there.

And a closer look at the shelf that houses most of the books themselves. I do have two copies of UY Saga vol 1, as a friend of mine tried the series and didn't find it to his taste, and I didn't want him to just throw it away. I also keep my signed Dark Horse Christmas card next to the books.

As an English teacher (and former English major) married to an English teacher (and former English major) I have a LOT of books in my house, but here are the shelves that contain items of interest to this thread:

My most prominent shelves, filled with the books I appreciate and revisit most often:



Center top: Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft
Center bottom: Shakespeare, other Elizabethan dramatists, James Joyce, and Usagi




Left: My 19th century collections of the complete works of Shakespeare and Victor Hugo -- my two favorite authors -- as well as some Elizabethan poetry collections.




Right: More Elizabethan drama, and then my guiltier-pleasure reading: Lord of the Rings, a bunch of science fiction (mostly Star Trek Deep Space Nine), and whatever else I'm reading currently or within the next few months.

It felt like a complete character arc with its ending. I've considered going further, but I hate disrupting a great ending. Sometimes, the reason I don't push on with a series is that I enjoyed its start too much.

But I ordered the first omnibus a few weeks ago, and it is supposed to be in this week at the comic book store.
