That third picture of Usagi, wearing the hat, well it looks cool and all but... where does his ears go? :? You would have to take them off, i guess...

.....

... Okay, it was a stupid question...

Yes, the hat and ears are indeed interchangeable.

Shouldn't his ears be tucked or folded back; so you can see them in the rear?

So is there any more word on whether or not there's going to be a production run of this? I'd be super excited if there were...

Hey Smenden, sorry I haven't gotten back in touch with you. For now I don't think I will produce this for production. It would take a considerable amount of time and money to do this and right now I'm just swamped with work. I was thinking I could do this as a part time thing to produce but looking into it further I wouldn't be able to do it justice if I didn't devote my full energy into it. Right now we're creating a new company and it's taking a lot of my time and that's why I've been a bit absent in the dojo. I would never say never though.

Yes Goandal, you're right the ears should be tucked back but looking at all the pictures of Usagi with the hat on I never saw Stan interpret it that way. The ears are never shown and thus my interpretation of the disappearing ears. In some ilustrations it looks like there was some room for Usagi's ears to go into the center of the hat and maybe that's where they fold up into.

roel, I don't think it can be said enough. You did a great job.

Best of luck with your new company.

that's amazing work roel! The Usagis are great but the Zato Ino is incredible. I am not into figures - I usually find them quite tacky but that Ino is really beautifully done. I could almost see having that! I like it unpainted, as you have shown it.

Wow! Please PM me if/when you/Stan change your mind about a production run — I would love to own one of these Usagi statues! Just beautiful!

Are there any more updates you can share? :D
