the one time that i leave my table at San Diego Con, you come by! very sorry to miss you, but i heard you liked my little paintings. wow! i've been a fan of yours since...uh...since for a LONG time! i bug you for a sketch just about every year. i'm doing a short piece for the next Sparks Generator, a tribute to Richard Scarry, and there's a small bit where Usagi is entertaining Lowly Worm. if you will be at APE or Wondercon i'll will try to bring a copy for you.

Hi Lark,

I'm sorry I missed you. Your paintings are wonderful. Your take on superheros are so very different from any others I've seen, and they really work in that very small canvas you paint on.

I also have that Long Tail Kitty mini-comic you gave me two years ago.

I won't be at APE or WonderCon, but I will definitely be at San Diego. I'm glad there will be a next volume of Sparks Generators. For those unfamiliar with it, it is an anthology by creators paying tribute to those who inspired them. The first volume, though flawed, is well worth getting.

Sorry. I know that you said this wasn't open for discussion, but you've piqued my curiosity. I'm an artist myself, and I've always liked working very small. Could someone please tell me more about Lark's artwork? Like what size are these small canvases? What type of super heroes? What poses/ views (ie, how much of the character, how detailed, etc.) I've always been interested in working really small, but there just doesn't seem to be a market, so this has really interested me. Thanks.
