Does anyone know any good pen/pencil techniques?

Hiya! I'm new here. I have my own webcomic and I am also an aspiring manga artist..I have been trying to find good techniques with pen and or pencil to add more life to my comic (only having line thickness doesn't work too well by itself, and the only other shading I know is crosshatching 
) So, any help would be greatly appreciated!
