Retainer Needs YOUR Help!

Post by wolfie-chan »

This is Wolfie-chan. Some of you might know me from the mailing list. However, I've just taken over the Collectibles area in lieu of our most shogunny Shogun's desperate cry for help.

I've got quite a bit ready for a HUGE collectibles update but I need fellow Dojo members to get me a bit more! Can anyone get me information (pics, links, etc.) on any of the following (items in red indicate items I've gotten help on!):

- Kid's Pajamas (pics)
- magnets (pics and purchasing info if still available)
- balloons (pics and purchasing info if still available)
- Radio City Comic Con poster (pics)
- Metal diecast miniatures (pics and purchasing info)
- UY Sketchbooks (cover pics, front and back, if possible)
- Space Usagi ash-can (I could have sworn I had a print of this but...)
- 1998 Comic Images t-shirt featuring Usagi and Gen (I'm wearing mine right now in fact but it's rather ragged and I can't find my camera anyway...)
- TMNT information of the first showings of Usagi. I have information on the episode "The Big Brawl" but nothing else.
- Was there a 2005 calendar? I can't find info on one and I don't remember having a 2005 calendar. I have info on 2003, 2004, and 2006.

Also, Stan-san and Todd-san, I found a great Lego artiste (using the term amusedly) that's done some rather amusing Usagi stuff. I have no idea if he's shown up in our Fan Art page, which I suppose is Becky-chan's area. Links are (for everyone to admire):
http://members.cox.net/djoakes/legoga90.htm
http://members.cox.net/djoakes/legoga70.htm
The main site's page is http://members.cox.net/djoakes/legopag2.htm

I got a good laugh out of them anyway. They were cute, especially the tokage/Godzilla.

I have the bulk of the rest of the list, plus a bit extra for the collectibles so what I've listed here, thus far is what I need initially. I figured once I get the stuff listed and the stuff I've found thus far out of the way (and out of my head), I can start on the really rare objects d'Usagi that only our Stan can provide or inspire!

Steve posted some pics of the 2005 calendar here:

Do you mean the Emerald City Comicon poster where Usagi is towering over some troops?

No idea, Gaffey, on the Radio City. That's just what the list of things to be updated on the Cool Collectibles area of the Dojo has listed. I could find NOTHING on Radio City Comic Con, only New York Comic Con. However, the one you mentioned might need to be placed in the collectibles area as well. I have Ohio Con's t-shirt and didn't Stan do something for a Chicago WizardWorld a few years back. Heck, I was THERE and I don't remember. Age 32, already senile. *sigh*

Anyone have anything on this Radio City poster, cuz I'm drawing an "I have no idea".

This might be the Emerald City Comic con. They commissioned a poster of a giant Usagi and the Seattle Space Needle.,

Space Usagi Ashcan?

Image

Got "lucky" with this, it was randomly included with a bunch of other Usagi items I bought from someone a number of years back.

Don't see them much on eBay either... evidently the previous owner had met Stan at some point, maybe the show it was given out at!

TMNT info

firsts appearance :
Usagi guest starred in two episodes of the original TMNT series. "Usagi Yojimbo" was (I think) in the third season. It introduced Usagi into the Turtles' universe. He was teleported from another dimension in which people were animals, or animals were people. In "Usagi Come Home", Shredder captures an Asian dragon egg that hatches, and Usagi saves the day by placing a candle in the dragon's mouth. Stan Sakai

Y'know, I hope Stan's getting royalties off all this stuff we collect rabidly. *grins* If not,we should complain on his behalf. LOL!

Thanks guys! Just need magnets and the 1998 Comic Images shirt, though for that one I could try and decide which box I packed my camera in. Hmm.

*toodles off*
