Trading Comics for TPBs

Good Day All

New to the Dojo, but a long time Yojimbo collector. I have the first 3 TPB, and all the rest of his issues in comic form. However, I'd like to trade the comics for the TPBs (SC). Is this reasonable? What are the market forces at play?

All are in good condition - most have been bagged.

Is there a preference within the Dojo community for comic vs TPBs?

Thanks

PS I did not post this in the marketplace (yet) because I wanted to see what the general opinion was. Is this doable? (and, of course, I am still hesitant to part with my comics.... :-)

hello, welcome to the dojo.

I find that there isn't really much of a different between those who buy the issues over the trades. Except that the people who buy the trades are about a year behind in stories.

There are some freaks out there (like myself) who buy both. I get the issues when they come out and then the trades (now buying hardcovers) when they come out as well for my bookshelf.

I've been reading Usagi for approaching ten years, so I've got all the regular comics. But I've also recently decided to collect the hardcovers as well for the bonus bits and easier to pick up and read (instead of unbagging every individual comic!).

So, do you think it is possible to trade the comics for trades?

And if so, which may have more value?

Thanks

So far its going for 40 bucks? That's an awesome price for volume 1 to 7.
All of them are the new dress too except for volume 5 and 7.

Darn. That would have been perfect for me. However, by the time I arranged a US address (I live in Canada) for shipping - someone else had jumped on them.

Oh well, guess I will just have to keep watching.

Thanks for the lead - and now I am ready for the next set.
