I have a question about the turltes I'v been wanting to ask,
I rememebr the Turltes when I was 3 or 4 years old! They were awsome! I rememebr the 2 Esp with Usagi and the Turtles!- Usagi was evin in the toyline!- Which brings me to the subject-

So There will be a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle show airing or someting??
I got the New toys (Master Splinter was my first one I got , I remembr he was one of the hardest toys to find So when I saw him I got him!)

Also Was the Turtles a spin off the Usagi Yojimbo Comics, or was the turtles in any of the isssues of UY??

The TMNT already have a new series on the Fox Channel. They are more to the tone of the original comic book series than the cartoons of a decade ago. And, yes, Usagi will make a guest appearance on the series.

The Turtles and Usagi were created independent of each other, and actually first came out in comics at about the same time. I knew Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman and they invited Usagi to guest star in a couple of episodes and be a part of their toy line.

Stan Sakai, Do you think the New toyline will grow bigger then the ones they have out now? like come out with a new UY and other classic chars that may oppear on the new TMNT?

I still have my old UY toy, but untill a few months ago I had no idea it was UY because he was my fav char because he's of course, a bunny.


That is cool you all just meet and they loved UY to have him put into the show. I wish I knew about the TMNT comics and UY comics when I was younger, But I could not read ^^* .....now they are really hard to find, its unbelivable. ^^ *

Plans do call for a new Usagi toy next year, along with his appearance on the Turtles' tv show.

Stan will you be working closer (or trying to) with the production staff than with the previous cartoon appearance? Will Usagi finally get his just due? Inquiring UY aficionados want to know..... and Obsessed TomoePhiles want to know... will the kimono'd goddess make a guest appearance??????

They announced the happy new about Usagi on the Mirage website recently, too. I think it's awesome! And considering the way the cartoon is handling the stories based from the comics so well, I have high hopes that Usagi's appearance will be good.
Having another action figure would be a great bonus!

I'm just hoping they either have Usagi speak japanese, or drop the lame japanese-esque accent. The one thing that pissed me off about the old cartoon was his dumb accent. It was too stereotypical. Ja mata... -Jason

So stan, is this going to happen soon, like in season 2? Is there a prototype of the usagi figure yet?

The four Usagi episodes will be the last four of Season 2. Usagi also makes an appearance in the Christmas show of, I guess, Season 3. We're still working out details of possibly the Turtles going over to Usagi's world.

The toy will probably be part of the line for next year's release.

All due respect to the figures that have come previously, I bought each one (except the new PVC which has all the features I didn't like about the Antarctic Press fig) including all the variants. But I'm really hoping that the new Usagi is white in colour and sculpted without his hakama tied up.

Any way of assuaging my fears Stan?

The one phrase that sticks out in my mind from the original TMNT/UY crossover was "He's from an alien dimension AND from ancient Japan. So naturally, he speaks English.".

I hope an explanation to this little quirk gets hammered out at script time.
