I don't know if any of you guys care or not, and I realize its a little (okay, maybe alot) off topic, but the man in black, the legend, my personal hero if you will, Johnny Cash, died today at the age of 71. I loved that man and his music more than I can possibly describe. You know, every time they talk about a famous person dying, they always say "the day the music died." This is the first day that the REAL music, has died.

For those that feel a morbid dread hearing of the passing of a celebrity (my brother is nigh inconsolable on Mr. Cash's demise, BTW) until they know that there's three gone to their reward, here's the other two: John Ritter (Three's Company, and a lot of better stuff since), and Leni Reifenstal (Triumph of the Will and some other well-directed Nazi propaganda). So, relax the death-watch and observe their passing how you choose.

Yea, Im so shocked that Jonny Cash Died. Im reather young to really "Like " His Music, my stepdad told me all about him and his stuff, he wasa real isparation to my art, and when I got sick I would look at Magic Eyes and lission to his greatest hits CD.......Oh well, His music will never die, evin though the good ones are now diappearing, but Atleast he is in a better place, and with his wife now.

John Ritter was only like 54 too, that really sucks, now his new show, 8 crazy rules, or something like that, is gonna get cancelled. John Ritter was really a great person.

I too was distressed about John Ritter's death. He would have been 55 today (Sept 17th -- which coincidentally happens to be my B-day as well). The really sad thing is he passed on his daughter's birthday.

His sitcom though, will not be cancelled. Instead it will go on as Ritter would have liked. They will not replace him however... the show will now deal with his TV family coping with the death of his character.

I didn't feel very shocked. I guess I was to young to hear any of his hits. I was more sad when Charles Bronson died, 'vause he had polish-lithuanian roots.
