Is it time for that con already? Time sure flies when you're behind on deadlines.
Is there anyone going to be there, and, if so, what would you like me to bring? Post your requests here, or PM me.
My 2 requests....

Dear Sensei Sakai,
I hope to see you there.
Do you know anything about the event?
My request is for a # 60 page 2 variant Koji (no eye patch) please.
My other request is what can I bring you, Sensei from Chico?
Do you like pistachios? Sierra Nevada Beer????????????????
I look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks for the fun.
Best wishes,
go

I love pistachios.
I'm not a beer drinker--or not much of any alcoholic beverage, for that matter. I do enjoy a glass of ice wine every now and then, though.

For an added incentive, the
http://www.crockerartmuseum.org/ has an Art of Warner Bros. Cartoons exhibit running through Jan 18, 2009. Open Sat. and Sun 10-5. If work isn't too burdensome this week, then I'll be going.
Best,
Steven

I had a terrific time at Sac-Con on Sunday. This was my first convention in Sacramento in about 15 years. I saw three Dojo members there--Go, Bookdriver, and Unarce. Special thanks to Go for the mandarin oranges and the bags of pistachio nuts.
I flew up and back with Alex Nino, and we had a terrific time together. I had even brought up my Art of Nino book, that he signed for me. I've been an admirer of his for more than 30 years, since his first work for DC.
My next convention in WonderCon at the end of February.

I tried to make it out there but got too swamped with my deadlines. Sorry I missed it. I love Alex Nino's work as well.

It was great to see you Stan. After your panel, I headed over to the charity auction and came away with this one:
Looking forward to WonderCon.
Best,
Steven

Happy New Year, everyone!
It was indeed a pleasure meeting you at SacCon, Mr. Sakai. It was a wonderful experience for both my son and I.
I finally matted and framed the original art pic we got from you that day...
...and adorned on the back...
It's apparent why UY has stood the test of time for both young and adult readers alike. As a true artist, you've stayed the course, making sure the stories of UY always had depth and meaning. Only a kind and thoughtful individual would afford such a gift to their fans.
Thank you for bringing forth and authoring Usagi Yojimbo.
Best regards,
Karl

I was very pleased to have the opportunity to meet the
sensei at the Sacramento Comic Convention. The experience is chronicled at my new web magazine,
http://www.artsareup.com/january2009.html. I hope you enjoy the pictures, links and expressions.
