ISSUE #70 OUT TODAY!!! SPOILERS INSIDE-READ ISSUE FIRST!

:D Part Two of "Fathers and Sons"! A great continuation. Jotaro's confrontation with Boss Sanpei was good, he's certainly not lacking in courage. Good eye, too, with those stones! Usagi's "I know everyone!" comment was a good joke. I really liked Boss Sanpei's ambitiousness and scheming and that one swordsman's wariness and his disappointment at being left there. Very human! The scene of Gorogoro and Jotaro sparring was terrific, both really going at each other. Wish we could've seen more of that but there're only so many pages Stan Sakai has to work with. Usagi's getting more cunning with time, I think. Very clever ruse (I won't spoil it), showing us that being a samurai is more than just skill with the sword. You can almost feel sorry for Boss Sanpei at the end, but that's what you get when you gamble everything on one throw of the dice. This's the third time Usagi's helped out Yagi. That's quite a debt for the Lone Goat to repay someday. And Gorogoro's farewell capped the story off perfectly. I can't wait for the next issue-an untold story of Katsuichi-sensei's past!!!

i liked the issue, and im kinda sad to see yagi and gorogoro go, but i must admit that i was disapointed that gorogoro spoke... the cool thing about him in my opinion was his silence, and his gestures in silence... dont think that im putting the story down, i just liked gorogoro when he was silent... just a thought...
"Aragorn... Don't tell the elf about this"

"We really shook the pillars of heaven, didn't we Wang?"

"No Horse sh%t Jack?"

"No Horse sh%t Wang."

My first thought was to have the story end with a huge fight scene at the climax, with Usagi/Yagi/Jotaro/Gorogoro vs Boss Sanpei's men/the Eight Swords, but that seemed too expected. So I showed a another side of Usagi--a more cunning side--who thought of a plan to get away and discredit Sanpei at the same time.

Glad you liked it.

I'm drawing UY 74 right now. It's a two part story, continuing on to 75, entitled "Hokashi". Usagi and Jotaro meet up with Katsuichi and Shunji for one more adventure before they part ways.
