Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

I met Mr. Sakai today at Motor City Comic Con. I have been reading Usagi since I was 19 years old and now I am 40 and Usagi is the only book I still read. It was a very big thrill and honor to meet such a talented man. I rambled on about how much I love Usagi and what the book has meant to me throughout the years. Mr. Sakai was very gracious and we had a nice conversation about our respective families. Today was a very nice day for me. I am so happy, I keep looking at the sketches he drew in my books and each time I look at them it brings a wide smile to my face. I am just thrilled to meet a hero and find him to be as wonderful as you had hoped.

Konichiwa!! I almost had a chance to meet Sakai-sensei at an Anime con up here in Toronto, Canada,but, was foiled by a looooonnnggg line up and the fact that before the line got to where he was...he'd already left. But, I did get to sit in on a Q&A a little earlier in the day. That was neat.

I've also had the privilige of having two of my Usagi "fan-art" drawings published in the back of issue no.#67. That was COOL!
