Usagi Yojimbo homage in Avatar: The Last Airbender

The recent
Art of Avatar: The Last Airbender book confirmed that Momo's appearance in samurai garb (see below) was indeed a direct concious homage of Usagi Yojimbo.

Frankly, I am not confident about the Last Airbender movie. It looks way too dark. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I think I remember that episode. That's great!
Yeah, I'm hoping the movie will be as good as the previews suggest. Love the cartoon.
