It was a very interessting event for me. Up to this time, I had no idea, what this furry-stuff is all about!^^

The highlight for me was, without a doubt, the meetings with Sharon and Stan. Thank you again, for the wonderful time!
One morning we did some sightseeing around Magdeburg and visited placed like the "Old Market", churches, the Elbe, some middleagelike buildings, the Cathedral and the "Hundertwasser-Haus -Grüne Zitadelle-".

The events held by Stan were very interesting for me, learning some new details is always great for a fan. For example the "Yokai"-event with all those monsters presented and their bases in japanese folklore- outstanding!^^

I try to present a few pictures in the next days, here.

Greetings from Trier,
Jens

Thank you for meeting us in Magdeburg.

I did a few presentations at Eurofurence. All the artwork I were sold to benefit the charity. One quick sketch--and I'm talking quick, about 30 seconds--was auctioned for 60 euros. One that I had spent a much longer time on went for 1,000 euros. Jens bought all the drawings I did at my Yokai panel as a lot.

We arrived home last night, safe and sound. Sharon already went to work this morning.

Yes, and it was a "hard fight" in the auction- 2 others wanted them, too.

the grüne zitadelle is a very charming building!I also like the picture of stan in the alley with the sign in the background straße der romantik;)(street of romance..)

Hey Marcel!

I hate it, but I fell in the same trap, like you- it's the Strasse der Romanik, means buildings etc. in this "romanic" style. (But maybe it could be also "romantic", if you drive there with charming company?)
I recognised my own mistake, while I was translating false "romantic" on a huge bronce-plate in this place, where some sort of map of this street is shown around Magdeburg.

Greetings,
Jens

Thank you, Jens. Wonderful photos. There are a few comments I would like to make:

Row 3, photo 3--this picture is not sideways. This is how the figure was placed on the cathedral. It is like a gargoyle or, rather, a gutter spout and rain water would flow out of its mouth.

Row 4, photo 4--These are pages from UY 134, Toad Oil. I had hoped to pencil 7 pages while in Germany, but only managed 4. I have since penciled and lettered up to page 13, and have started inking them. Unfortunately, I will have to put them aside next week to work on other projects.

Row 5, last photo--As Jens said, this is from my Yokai panel, which I had never done before. I am drawing a tanuki and, yes, his =ahem= private parts are supposed to be that big.

Again, thank you for meeting us in Magdeburg and taking us on a walking tour of the city, Jens. This was also Sharon's first furry convention, and she enjoyed it. She even joined the fursuit parade.

I wrote a report on the comicradioshow.com :

It's written in german, and it's about the EF16 in general.

The 2nd part is online, this time 100% "Usagi".

http://www.comicradioshow.com/Article3456.html

It is written in german, but I think even a look at the fotos will be worth a visit for anybody here.
Maybe someone can try an english google-translation or so, and tell, if it's acceptable? (Dont't know, why this doesn't work here)

Greetings,
Jens
