Out of curiosity, why?
As far as security goes, just double check the privacy settings. And if you do not provide any info you don't want others to see in the first place, then you shouldn't have to worry anyways. I actually signed up using an alias based on my email address (and a frequent screen name I use for a number of other forums).

Well, you know, there are only so many sites one can visit per day; and with two kids, it's pretty tough to have spare time to surf around...and what with spending time with friends and my wife (in person, that is; I would not want to visit my wife's Facebook page just to see her
).

for me I think I haven't join it yet because I sort of rebelled against this huge wave of people telling me I HAD to get an account on facebook all at once since really EVERYBODY went to facebook very quickly....
I don't know, maybe some day maybe not...I don't want to spend too much time on the internet as it is...

I just don't do any social networking sites (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter etc)... I keep up with all the friends I want to keep up with via forums, email, phone and seeing them in real life
