Phoenix Comic-con

Post by Stan Sakai »

The Phoenix Comic-con is coming up fast. It feels like I was just in Boston a couple of weeks ago.

Is anyone here going, and, if so, is there anything you would like me to bring? Either post your requests here or PM me.

I found some Phoenix Comicon pics.

Was this a commission? It looks like some sort of creature holding Tomoe (?) with Usagi in front. Hard to tell.

That is a take off on The Creature From the Black Lagoon. The Gill Man is carrying Tomoe, with Usagi in the foreground. It will be the cover for the UY Sketchbook #8.

The Mouse Guard sketch was a gift for David Petersen, with whom I was on a panel. It was also a bit of practice, since I will be in the next Legends of the Mouse Guard book. Where did you get this image? I took a photo of it before I gave it to David. He he post an image of it somewhere?

I found it on his Twitter feed.

http://twitter.com/#!/mouseguard (I can't figure out how to link twitter pages - you'll have to copy and paste or search David Petersen twitter)

It's his last post on May 28th. Or first when scrolling down.

Great sketch! :D

He looks like a very well fed mouse, or maybe he is the Porthos of the Four Mouseketeers.

Any word yet on when the next Legends series will start coming out?

Thanks for posting the cool photos as well. :D

Nice pics there, looking forward to sketchbook #8 even though I won't be there to collect in person...

BBCode doesn't like the slash or punctuation in there, hence you can't link it that way either. HTML would probably work though...
