Hello! I'm new to the site and thought I'd say hello.

Today I bought the Usagi Yojimbo Special Edition and I thought I'd get a little more involved. I first read Usagi Yojimbo, the first book a few years ago and I loved it, since then I haven't really had the chance to read on since the first and second book are all my local library had at that time. Now, however, I'm looking forward to finally reading the whole story.

I wonder, is this forum still very active? Looking to my left it says "Last update: 25 Jan 2004", that was quite some time ago.

I hope that it still is.

Greetings from Sweden,
Mikom "Admiral Skeybar" Ya

Welcome :)

As for the date, that's just the main website code, which I think has been updated since that point heh. There's certainly still plenty of us posting here...

Thank you all. I'm glad to hear this forum is still active. :)

I've read the first book in the special edition now and it sure didn't disappoint. Looking forward to reading the next now :D

Hello all :D
Man, I'm really glad I bought this! I now finished part 2 of the Special Edition and that is the story up to book 7 if I'm not mistaken. Now I just have to find a way to get the rest.
I'm not a big fan of ordering things on the internet but for this I might make an exception. 8)

Welcome to the Dojo! :D

Books 8 and up are definitely worth reading, even if you do have to order them off the internet.

And, of course, a couple of the early Usagi books have even been translated into swedish, including one of my favorite Usagi book covers.

Well, I think I read the first book in Swedish many years ago and the second book as well a few years later but the Special Edition was in English and that's the way I prefer it
And what cover is that?

A belated Hello from Berlin as well;

When you`ve read books 8 and 9, you`ve got only 16 books to go... plus the two out of continuum books Yokai and Space Usagi, of cource. They `re both worth the purchase.

Ahh, so much fun waiting for you...

I think I`m going to read all books in one go, too (again; have lost count on how many times I`ve done it already).

I`m sure you`ll find this place not only active, but fun to be as well!

A lot of fun awaits me indeed, though the waiting itself isn't ;)
