The other day I was out in town and stumbled upon a little consignment shop that I never even knew existed. Normally these shops never seem to have anything of great interest to me, but I check them out anyway because you never know what you're going to find. After 20 minutes of browsing, the only thing that I found of interest was a Janis Joplin's greatest hits cd for two bucks. I was headed to the register to pay for my find when I saw a large book rack and thought maybe I'll find the Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest" (which is the third installment to Stieg Larrson's, "the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (great series!)) Yet again...no luck. As I began to turn away from the rack, I noticed what looked to be Usagi Yojimbo style font on a book that was behind a few magazines. I pulled it out and to my elation it was the Space Usagi tpb! Even better, it was only $2.50 and in excellent condition!
To be honest, while I enjoy the Usagi Yojimbo comics, I never had any interest in Space Usagi. I don’t know why that was really. I'm guessing back in the early 90's, the thought of a rabbit samurai in space wasn’t too appealing to me. Combine the 18 years or so of refraining from the series and my hour long train ride to work every day, I now thought it would make my daily commute more enjoyable. Man am I glad I picked up this book! I absolutely loved the Space Usagi series. It was massively entertaining! In particular, the bug and dinosaur illustrations were a treat to see.
That bring me to this question. Is it true that Stan (at some point) is going to write another arch to the story? I would soooo be all over that!
Love for Space Usagi!

Man, my wife would have loved to have found such a CD for that price. Great music.
Oddly enough, Space Usagi is one of the few trades I have yet to read, mainly because I got the bulk of my Usagi trades off of eBay yet most of the time, that was one book that was seldom offered there. Amazon has it up now so I was planning to acquire it this year. The premise sounds cool to me.

Coolray- yeas I got the cd too. joplin's greatest hits is a great cd, though it only contains ten songs. Her music's filled with passion and emotion.

I actually thought that "Space Usagi" was quite interesting as kind of a spin-off for one of the best comic book series I've ever read. I also found out that it was loosely inspired by the Space Usagi action figure from the TMNT line of action figures by Playmates.
