Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

The Japanese American National Museum's Usagi Yojimbo tea cups were such a success that they will also be selling coffee mugs (with handles). They are not on sale yet, and I will let you know when they are (probably in the next few weeks).

It will have the same image of Usagi at the tea ceremony, though I guess it's now a coffee ceremony.

I am happy that I bought four of the Tea cups when they first went on sale since I managed to break two of them a couple weeks ago while moving into a new apartment.

The coffee mugs are just appearing in the museum gift shop, but not yet online. They will be soon, though. The museum wanted to make sure that I received my comps first before mass sales.

My family and my parents are is going to JANM during the Los Angeles International Tea Festival (http://teafestivalla.com) for the free Japanese Tea Ceremony (http://www.janm.org/events/tateuchi/) and celebrate Cheryl's birthday (a bit late since her birthday was yesterday ). I'll have to check out the Usagi mugs while I'm there.

I got the new catalog for the JANM on friday but did not see the coffee mugs in it. I did see the tea cups, the t-shirt, and the newest Usagi book all listed in it. I have a new co-worker who is studying Japanese at WMU and I gave him the catalog at work today. I also loaned him copies of the last twelve issues of Usagi to read.

The mugs are available online. Hurry up before those Facebook people find out.
