San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
It's that time of year... summer coming around, and the biggest convention in the West will be descending on San Diego in just under a month's time.
For those new to the Dojo since last time, in the same manner that Stan asks what people would like him to bring to the show, so comes my reciprocal thread for all those stuck in Europe who would like some goodies brought back from Comic-Con. Just to reiterate the rules from previous years...
- This list is primarily for folks living outside of the continental US, mainly Europe. I can and may buy and ship elsewhere, but please understand the costs could be substantial.
- Anything small is fine and will be costed accordingly when I return, but expensive bits (like if someone wants a piece of artwork) may need a down payment in advance. The likelihood of agreeing to such a purchase naturally increases with how well I know you!
- I won't actually be back in the UK after the convention until 6th August as I'm going to a friend's wedding in Mississippi after the show. Please DON'T bug me asking about your goodies until I get back home!
- DO NOT send me a private message detailing what you would like, post it HERE in this thread. Makes it a lot easier for me to collate, and if you change your mind along the way, you can just edit your post.
- This list will be considered CLOSED on Sunday 20th July, and that will be the shopping list I adhere to (unless there are any last minute unavoidable changes in plan, for better or worse).
- I am not just limited to Usagi, if there are TMNT or Mouse Guard items you would like, I can try to purchase those as well, as I will be making beelines for anyone associated with Mirage, and David Petersen during the show.
- If you arrange with Stan for him to bring something specific that won't normally be sold per seen on his stand, please note that in your post so I can make sure he gives me it when I see him.

Terrific service, Mayhem, thanks!
I understand this, that I should' t post it in Stan's "What to bring"-thread.
If possible, I 'd like to get last years UY Sketchbook #10 and the new one #11.
Greetings
Jens

Re: San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
As per the final bullet point in the rules, if you want items Stan will normally have down on his table (such as the sketchbooks), then no, you don't need to go post those in Stan's thread. If it's something that he wouldn't normally bring (a particular comic issue or hardcover for example), then yes you should post in Stan's thread so he knows you want him to bring it especially. Those latter items you should note here with a tag in your wants list so that I KNOW you are getting them from Stan and he has set them aside for you.TigerRider wrote:I understand this, that I should' t post it in Stan's "What to bring"-thread.
In your case Tiger, both items should be out on the table for me to get as usual, but please confirm with Stan that he has copies of #10 sketchbook still left first.

Re: San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
Hi Mayhem, thank you for the kind offer.
Would you be ok to pick up some art for me from Stan?
I will happily coordinate with Stan, and to pay you (or Stan) in advance so that you are not out of pocket
I now live in London so I can happily meet you somewhere convenient for you when you return
Many Thanks
David

If you arrange a commission in advance, and it is agreed, then yes, I can pick it up for you as long as it is paid for in advance to me. You've got three weeks

Re: San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
this is all kinds of cool, Mayhem...
question: would it be possible to get older sketchbooks as well? (I'm gonna be a nuisance and ordering for several friends as well, if that's cool?)
many thanks,
Leo

If I may to ask you also about one copy of:
- "Usagi Yojimbo San Diego Comic-Con International Exclusive Lithograph"
- "The Witcher #1 Convention Variant Cover"
Please let me know whether you can buy them for me cause they are limited per person (respectively two and five per person).
Anyway thanks a lot Mayhem!!

We will make an exception with Mayhem. He will be able to purchase as many lithos as he needs.

Re: San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
Cheers Stan, I was going to ask if more than one person asked for the litho...
The Witcher issue shouldn't be a problem, I already have it so I won't be needing to buy one for myself either...

Re: San Diego 2014 - Revenge of the Shopping List
I'm still waiting to hear from friends (I'm on holiday right now, which doesn't help) but, as it stands, the list is looking like this:
usagi sketchbook #8, and two copies of #9, 10 & 11
usagi : the artist
usagi : caps
commission from Stan
mouse guard: the black axe hc
many thanks indeed, Mayhem!
very much appreciated...
Leo
