Here are some pics of Mr. Sakai at Long Beach Comic Expo drawing Usagi Yojimbo and Charlie Brown. Mr. Sakai is drawing a short Peanuts comic that is coming out in Mayish?? Also http://www.instocktrades.com/ has a great deal on Usagi Saga Book 2 for $46.39 if you haven't bought one already. It was great meeting some of the DojoBoard members at Long Beach and I look forward to seeing you guys at future cons.

I like the idea that sensei is doing a penauts comic.where will this appear in?a dark horse presents title perhaps?
also, I have to re-affirm my excitement for sensei's great beard here!;) I am loving it!

Thank you for sharing these pictures from one of Stan's presentations - was this Saturday or Sunday?

I saw some other Peanuts artwork that Stan had at his table and was excited to see him doing something Peanuts related, but I was to shy to ask more about it....

BTW, the event was actually the Long Beach Comic Expo - the LB Comic Con won't be until the fall.

Doesn't Stan look a little like Hayao Miyazaki with that beard? :P

I've taken the liberty to correct the thread title. And welcome Spam Musubi, certainly not an ordinary handle there heh.

Stan mentioned that the Peanuts story was for a coffee table book that the Schultz folks asked him to contribute (So Dark Horse will not be publishing this). What I saw was pencils of the story. I really liked the story and Stan's drawings. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say any more. :)

Peace, ️Maka
