What is a Gallery Edition? $125.00!

Qu'est-ce que c'est? RRP $125, or about £95 here apparently.

A gallery edition is Dark Horse's version of an (Oni Press) artist edition

approximately 11 X 17 inches in size....

How does Dark Horse have the rights to Samurai? Not that you would know.

They should have reprinted everything in the Saga format if that's the case. That's just my OCD talking.

Samurai is a good choice. It tell Usagi's orgin story. I think Stan said there would be more of these editions. That should be a good trivia question: which story will be next to be reprinted in all it's glory? Peace, maka

I've never seen a Gallery book in person, but I'll put in a vote for a Dragon Bellow edition.

The Gallery Editions are Dark Horse's version of IDW's Artist Editions. They are scanned from the original line artwork. Even though the originals are black and white, the GEs are printed in color to get the nuances like stray pencils marks, blue pencils, coffee stains, etc. It is printed on a thicker paper to try to replicate the original art as close as they can. I was reluctant to have a GE of my work because I work very cleanly and have very few stray marks. My originals look very much like my printed work. However, you will be able to see a lot more of my details.

DH has published a RoboCop/Terminator book by Frank Miller and Walter Simonson.

I just sent them more original art today. However, I am unable to find page 1 of Goblin of Adachigahara, the very first Usagi page. We may have to print that page from an existing scan or I may recreate that page as I did with the entire Tomoe's Story when I was unable to locate it. If I do redraw that page I will make it a point to do a sloppy job erasing, and may drink coffee and eat a messy cheese pizza while inking.

I shall place an order tomorrow with the local comic book shop.

And due in late October, just in time for my birthday!

I can't wait to get this! I've really been enjoying the few IDW Artist Editions I have (Groo, Bone and Hellboy) and will gladly add this to my collection.

Ah gotcha... interesting... I know roughly how big that is, I've got a couple of IDW Limited editions that are roughly those dimensions. Should look great! Not sure where I'll store it though

Will these be signed(?sketched)/numbered? How large is the run oging to be?
