Who is this guy in issue #11

In the first couple pages of the Lord of Owls story there's an old looking character watching an unknowing Usagi who says "we'll meet soon enough". I'm rereading the whole run and I don't remember this character. Did he ever show up again? Was he forgotten? Thanks!

Looks like he could be the guy from the assassins guild to me... I forget the name offhand.

That's the guy with the hat in the previous post. Who is he? I don't recognize him from anywhere else in the run. It's a mystery.

I'm not at home so I can't check myself right now, but do you have DH issue #135, Return of the Lord of Owls? Maybe he shows up there?
I'll check tonight if nobody else does by then.

Awesome. Thanks. I remember the first time reading the issue I thought he was the Lord of Owls but then when rereading I realized it was a totally different character.

He has never appeared again. I really should do something with him. I guess however soon they meet now, will not be "soon enough."
There was a similar guy in Groo. He would appear, announce some prophecy of doom, then disappear. This occurred for several issues, then dropped out. He was never explained.

Every time Stan takes time to answer a question on the dojo, I think "What a special community we have here. How lucky are we to have these small interactions with the creator of Usagi Yojimbo, a comic and universe that we love so much." That the ultimate in geek culture: We love, follow, think and talk about Usagi more than the average person (That's how I define geek - mild obsession with some pop culture thing). We have a space to be able to have friendly interactions (and insights) with the artist/creator (Stan) we admire for creating this thing we love. Thanks, Stan.

Who could he be? Some mysterious person from Usagi's past? Anyone got a good guess?

My little yearly nudge to see this mystery man return. Who is he? Where did he come from? Maybe he just fell off a mountain side off panel
