Merry Christmas, everyone!!
ho ho ho, merry christmas to all of the wonderful people of the dojo!!:)
I hope each one of you has someone to visit, think of, write to, telefone with or spend time with these days and be merry with.
if you think you don't have somebody like that, oh well, just pm me if you will;)
I feel we ALL should really look out for one another in life and cherrish our connection to one another. this is also what celebrating christmas reminds me of each year.
so, fröhliche weihnachten! as we say over here!
greetings and RYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA to all of of you!

Re: Merry Christmas, everyone!!
That was nice.
Blessed Christmas to everyone here, and yeah, spend as much time as you can with your loved ones!
For me, Christmas is the holiday of love, and most importantly, it is the birth day of Jesus.
And "Boldog karácsonyt mindenkinek!" as we say over here
Best wishes from Budapest, Hungary : Kristof

Re: Merry Christmas, everyone!!
My roots are from Germany.
My home is the United States.
My future lies in Japan, or so I hope.
It's Christmas! It's also a few days after the winter solstice (the shortest day of the year). Now the days will grow long again (at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere). I am not a religious person per se, so I do not have the Christian connection to Christmas, however I still enjoy this season and the celebration. Christmas is a tradition that many cultures celebrate in their own unique way. For me Christmas is all about friends and family and celebrating life. It is a time for us to rejoice, and be thankful for all that has been, is, and will come, no matter what our background is.
I like to think of us Dojo members as one big extended family. We are brothers and sisters from across the globe, and we share a love for a Ronin Rabbit. That in itself is something the be grateful for! Thank you Stan and Usagi Yojimbo for bringing us all together.
Merry Christmas, Fröhliche Weihnachten, and メリークリスマス (Merīkurisumasu) to one and all.

well put, maichan!;)
I see it the same way..
by the way, I am not religious myself at all, christmas, although technically celebrated for the birth of jesus, has not anything to do FOR ME with any religion;)

Re: Merry Christmas, everyone!!
I totally agree, maichan!
(I didn’t want to be misunderstandable, I was raised in a Lutheran family, so for me, Christmas has a religious aspect as well, but of course I absolutely don’t have any problems with non-religious people or other religions, so please, no offense here

Re: Merry Christmas, everyone!!
it is a pleasure, sensei! we all love what you are doing with usagi!:)
by the way, I have taken a picture of our meal today much in sensei's tradition;), but I haven't got it on me right now, so will post that tomorrow I guess.
I had a little wonderful usagi moment today. we were visiting my father a few hundered kms away (near the alps) and were having dinner together in a small circle, just my girlfriend, our dog, my sister and my father and me. after eating we were going through various old foto albums to spot long lost moments of our familiy.while looking for another album in a nightstand I happened across the old USAGI YOJIMBO comic tpb I gave my father for christmas many many years ago;)..it is one of the very few works of usagi that has been translated into german and the publisher, schwarzer turm, even gave the words stan's unique lettering look by using his letters for the texts...my father is 81 years old now and can't see too good, but he was at one time reading the tpb since I found a postcard of my mother (who passed away 3 years ago) doubling as a book mark;)...
along usagi there was also the tpb of art spiegelman's maus:)
by the way, the usagi tpb was in excellent condition in contrast to some of the other documents or folders in that night stand;)
that was a sweet little moment to me, because it showed that my dad was looking into what makes my life beautiful and trying it out for himself,)aaaah the wonders of great comics;)
I also learned that he was a layman stage actor for most of his life which I had NEVER known about him:)I even found various newspaper reviews of their plays and he was well liked;)
allright, that's it for now, will post the picture of my duck with semmelknödl and rotkraut;)

Dear Coolray,
I enjoyed your story about your time with your dad/family, postcard of your mom, and the discovery he was stage actor. Life is beautiful. Thanks. Peace, maka
